Notwell is available with a Notwell in-app subscription or an active NotFit membership. We do not collect card numbers. Apple and Google process payments. To confirm a NotFit membership we share only your account email or access code with NotFit.
Notwell respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website or app. Notwell is part of the NotFit family. Where this policy mentions NotFit, it means the NotFit membership service at notfit.io, which has its own Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account details: name, email, and the sign-in method (Google, Apple, or email) you use to create an account.
- Membership data: whether your NotFit membership is active, and any NotFit access code you enter to link that membership.
- Subscription data: whether you have an active Notwell in-app subscription, the product (Notwell Monthly or Notwell Yearly), and a purchase receipt or token from Apple or Google so we can unlock and restore access. We never receive your card number, bank details, or full payment credentials.
- Usage data: features you use (routines, breathwork, journal, mood, sounds), session timing, and app interactions.
- Device data: device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, and basic diagnostics.
- Optional data: content you choose to write in journal entries or mood check-ins, stored on your device and, if you sign in, in your account.
- Apple Health data (optional, iOS only): heart rate, heart rate variability and resting heart rate, read from Apple Health only if you connect it. See section 1a.
1a. Apple Health (HealthKit) Data
On iPhone and iPad you can choose to connect Notwell to Apple Health. If you do, Notwell uses Apple's HealthKit framework to read your heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate so the Recovery section can show how your body is settling. Notwell does not write anything to Apple Health.
- Health data is read only after you grant permission in the Apple Health permission sheet, and you can revoke it at any time in the Health app (Sharing → Apps → Notwell) or by tapping Disconnect in Notwell.
- The latest readings are stored encrypted on your device only. Health data is not uploaded to our servers, is not synced to your Notwell account, and is not shared with NotFit or any other third party.
- Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or sold to data brokers, and is never used for any purpose other than showing you your own recovery signals, in line with Apple's HealthKit requirements.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve Notwell’s feel-better tools and to sync your data across your devices.
- To confirm you hold an active Notwell subscription or NotFit membership, which is what gives you access to Notwell, and to communicate with you about your account, updates, or support.
- To restore a previous in-app purchase on a new device.
- To personalize reminders and keep the product secure.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. To check a NotFit membership we send your account email, or the access code you entered, to NotFit, which responds only with whether the membership is active. For in-app purchases we use Apple, Google, and RevenueCat as processors so a purchase can unlock the app; they receive purchase identifiers, not your card number. We may also share limited data with service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics) who process data on our behalf, or with legal authorities when required by law.
4. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your information, including encrypting personal data stored on your device. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; you are responsible for keeping any login details safe.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to opt out of marketing communications. You can delete your Notwell account and its synced data from inside the app or by emailing us. Deleting your Notwell account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription (manage that in your store account settings) and does not cancel a NotFit membership (managed at notfit.io).
6. Children’s Privacy
Notwell is not designed for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy as Notwell grows. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
